Qatar: DESS Festive Fair 2014

Prestige Wealth Solutions (PWS), a leading International financial advisory group, partnered with Doha English Speaking School (DESS) to help promote the 2014 DESS Festive Fair.

DESS is a not-for-profit school and this event is their largest annual fund raiser. They reached out to a number of the best service-led companies in Doha to put together a great atmosphere for children to enjoy themselves, while allowing adults to take in some of the fantastic stalls, services and food on offer.

The turnout was impressive; over 2,500 people were able to interact with other expats in Doha as well as being introduced to companies and services that they may not have previously been aware of.

‘For us, the response we got was fantastic. To be able to meet many new clients whilst partnering with a highly credible entity like DESS meant we could reach out to people directly and help point them in the right direction with regards to their financial planning requirements,’ said Nabeel Ashraf, Regional Managing Partner of PWS in Qatar.

‘Expats throughout the GCC region face similar problems with regards to tax planning, lack of employer provided retirement plans and frozen pensions at home in the UK. It is a huge privilege to come together with DESS to raise awareness of these issues in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.

The fact that we can help raise funds for DESS and give back to the community in which we operate is a real bonus, as this fits our business model perfectly,’ said Craig McConnon, Managing Director of PWS.

With a highly experienced team of financial advisers, PWS can offer expats perfectly tailored and independent financial planning globally. PWS Qatar is based in Palm Tower, Westbay, Doha. Please visit www.pws-intl.com for further information.

They enable people to transfer their pensions outside of the UK, in order to make use of better tax rates available to overseas residents, and minimize the risk of making regular transfers from the UK to the country in which you have retired.
